The highly anticipated Michelin-starred dim sum house Tim Ho Wan has opened in Irvine’s Diamond Jamboree. It takes the space that was formerly Capital Seafood. Expect long lines and a limited menu while the restaurant goes through its soft opening period. 2700 Alton Pkwy, Ste 127, Irvine, CA 92606
The Buffalo Spot, which originated in Long Beach, has opened at Irvine’s Campus Plaza. The specialty of the house is Buffalo Fries, which are fries are topped with bits of fried chicken covered in Buffalo sauce. Wings and chicken tenders are also served. 4511 Campus Dr, Irvine, CA 92612
San Diego-based Breakfast Republic has opened across from UC Irvine at University Center.
